Strep, Scares, and What I Wore

More than anything, Lana and I wanted to be scary.

It was the only thing we had in common. We met early on in middle school, and despite having nearly nothing in common — maybe because we had nearly nothing in common — we became fast friends. She was so different from me that I found her objectively fascinating, and she at very least found me tolerable.
