Believe it or not, I actually heard about them in--I think--2010 or 2011-ish, and my first immediate thought was, "That sounds so awesome," followed almost immediately by, "I would never have the guts to get involved." I strongly believe that things which make us feel both terror AND longing are probably the best thing out there.
They very much made it so that you didn’t feel like you needed to actively participate in anything, but definitely encouraged you to and cheered you on while you did. I don’t believe in theater being an elitist thing, I think it’s one of the oldest and most basic forms of entertainment and art ever, and I wish modern theater reflected that. FGP definitely did.
